Its purpose is to seek spiritual growth and connection with higher beings.

Buddhism

Buddhist meditation practices are techniques that help you develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, calm, and seeing the true nature of things.

According to Buddhism, in life, there are many things that are out of our control. But what we can control is the state of our minds and how we can change it for the better.

Buddhism teaches that meditation is that healing pill that’ll heal any sorrow, fear, anxiety and negative feelings alike that bests human condition.

For over thousands of years, countless meditation practices have been developed in Buddhist tradition.

All of them may be described as mind training.

Hinduism

In Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma) meditation has a place of great significance. The Hindu scriptures prescribe certain postures to attain the state where the mind is in meditation. These postures are called yoga.

Love and kindness Meditation

As we’re living in this competitive society. We all feel self-doubt and speaking of recent events. Being isolated for so long can make you feel depressed and surround you with negative emotions.

Research shows, living a stressed and depressed life can make you age faster and potentially diagnose you with diseases like diabetes and cancer.

If you’re struggling with any of these or something related to it, LKM is an ideal meditation for you.

And so during loving and kindness meditation, you focus your positive energy towards you and others.

Imagine yourself experiencing physical and emotional wellness and inner peace. Imagine feeling love and compassion for yourself and others, and thanking yourself for who you’re and however you are.

And imagining breathing out stress and all self-doubt.

You can repeat two or three phrases that you are wishing for in your life, while meditating.

For example, MAY I BE HAPPY AND HEALTHY.

This meditation can help you to feel empathy, Compassion and self acceptance.

Visualization Meditation

When it comes to visualization meditation. It’s slightly different from normal meditation. Everything is the same, but it requires more of a visualization. There’s no limit to how much you can visualize. The limit is your imagination.

Imagine anything specific, some person. Some event or perhaps a certain goal. Anything as long as it’s positive, and now imagine it becoming reality.

It’s an ideal meditation for someone who wants to achieve a certain goal or boost their creativity.

It also helps in stress relief, mood improvement, and better sleep.

Mindfulness Meditation

This meditation focuses on being aware of what you’re sensing and feeling at the moment and letting in and go of the thoughts, the feelings and see where it leads you. Without judgement or interruption, to see who and what you are.

Let the thoughts flow within you.

How to practice it?

Sit down, Be comfortable and close your eyes and start breathing.

Sense everything around you. The air you breathe, The sounds your stomach makes. The fly that is flying around you.

The thoughts coming in your mind. A reflection of your present.

And remember, The goal is not to stop your thoughts, but to let them come and go and reflect upon them.
