I mean, it’s obvious, but if I ask you what makes Social Media so addictive..

What would be your answer?

It’s fun? It’s entertaining? Or perhaps you don’t know, but you can’t seem to stop using it.

Nevertheless, whatever your answer might be.

This constant loop of scrolling and consuming endless content on a daily basis is costing you more than you know..

Here’s how….

You see, on social media we’ve created our own worlds and a hiding places where we go when we want to escape reality or just want to be entertained.

And to be honest, it’s a really dangerous addiction to be constantly entertained.

And that’s what makes us addictive.

This hunger of constantly finding something “fun” and “entertaining” and fear of missing out, put us in this loop of scrolling and constantly checking our phones, even though there’s nothing worth attention, and we have so much in our plate.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate social media, and no I’m not like those unrealistic hustle guys who follow 10 billionaires morning routines every second week.

Those main character symptom delusions or whatever.

I’m sure, the things I’ve mentioned you’ve noticed yourself and probably already aware of it.

And I’m sure you’ve probably tried many times to break this cycle.

But….

End up nowhere….

That’s exactly why I’m here to share a simple guide to help you take control of your life and manage your social media addiction.

No, you don’t have to give up on social media if you don’t want to.

All you have to do is to take control of it.

Once you’ve overcome this feeling of “missing out” and build your life less reliant on social media.

You’re on the right track.

And just so you know, It’s a process.

Not some mage craft or some witch spell that one day you decided to give up on social media and the next day you’re a completely different person.

And to be honest, the first week without social media will going to be pretty hard.

I mean, If you’ve made this mistake of deciding one day to giving up on social media and expected too much but ended up nowhere..

That’s where you’ve made a mistake.

You see, the best way to control your addiction is to find something more exciting that makes you forget about it.

Here’s how….

Finding something more exciting or interesting than social media will keep you busy, and you’ll get to do, learn or make something….

It can be a new hobby, developing a new skill, spending that time with your loved ones, hanging out with friends, meditating, working out, reading books, playing with your pets, painting, dancing, listing music, drinking water and just sitting back, do some extra work if you can, praying (if you’re religious), journaling, if you’re free, watching something (TV show, Documentaries or anything), doing anything which doesn’t involve social media….

Most of the time we use social media because we’re bored, stressed or don’t have a strong motivation to do anything or something we’re not so interested in even though it’s something important.

When it comes to quitting social media, it’s kind of trend nowadays that you’d find every second self development “goooooruu” is talking about.

But when it comes to quitting it, social media has its own pros and cons.

And quitting out of random will get you nowhere..

The best way you can take control of your life and overcome this addiction is to approach slowly and with something on what you can spend that time, you would've spent on social media.

I hope you took something from it and in some way it helped you get better.

There are many other ways you can overcome this addiction, and on upcoming days I’ll share more guides and ways to help you live happy and in control.

Till then, take care and let me know what you think about it or anything that helped you with social media addiction….
